This is an example of a home improvement project that “means something” to the homeowner.
When I say that, I’m saying it’s not the run of the mill type of thing.
Our homeowner needed the talents and time we possess, so—-
That’s why we were brought in to take on this super custom kitchen backsplash in Woodstock, GA.
What I’m portraying here is solid, competent, men with a plan—building it heavy duty, to the best of our abilities with a foundational, fundamental understanding of what we’re trying to accomplish, the training and experience to see it done, sticking to it, it’s our baby —

Our homeowner is a FIREWORKS ENTHUSIAST who enjoys putting on INCREDIBLE shows and he wanted his home to reflect his passion.
That’s what tile is all about, because it can be whatever you want it to be—-tile to represent your personality and tastes.
We haven’t done many “basic” projects lately, as we really hope to connect with homeowners that CARE about HOW their project is built and WHO is doing it.
We were able to take this kitchen from completely IMAGINARY to a real FIREWORKS FINALE.
On this project, the homeowner gave us the opportunity to completely plan this custom kitchen. He knew what he wanted, he had the space, Jason simply made all the parts work together. In the video, he talks about how we were able to “prep” the walls before ANYTHING else was done.
So, that means—-we were able to plumb the 2x4 walls, we were able to flatten them, in anticipation for cabinets and the backsplash. We were able to get everything PERFECT, first. Often, in other situations, we’re left “fixing” such issues far past the time when it should have been addressed.
Not here and the results were stellar.
We put in the blocking for the custom vent hood to be screwed into, plenty of blocking for the cabinets—-which Danny from DRW Cabinets in White, GA designed, built and installed —-FULLY CUSTOM.
The green island tops were SHIPPED from Madagascar and custom fabricated and installed by Top South in Marietta, GA.
The tile we installed was purchased from Tile House in Marietta (thanks Cindy) and was a mix of GLASS and METAL which made it a real TRICK to cut and install.
We also used a really cool EPOXY TRANSLUSCENT GROUT on this back splash! So, the grout MATCHES whatever field tile is around it.
As always, around the ENTIRE perimeter of the back splash—-we used 100% color match silicone to have a SOFT JOINT in the plane changes to protect the back splash during the EXPANSION AND CONTRACTION of the wood framed house.

Of course we go behind the stove with tile, but in the picture you can see we flush mounted this stainless steel custom painting. The space between the painting and the tile we siliconed with color match silicone --- it matches perfectly with the grout around it.

EVERYTHING about this kitchen was custom and it required the high level of skill and precision that we at Hamilton Tile bring to our work everyday.
